Louis Kievman was a multi-talented individual who excelled in various fields such as performing, writing, lecturing and teaching. At the age of 16, he enrolled in the Institute of Musical Art, which is currently a part of The Juilliard School, where he studied under the tutelage of Franz Kneisel and Sascha Jacobsen. He was a performer associated with the Musical Arts Quartet and the Stuyvesant String Quartet. He was also a founding member of the NBC Symphony under the legendary conductor Arturo Toscanini. Apart from his performances, he was also a sought-after lecturer and clinician and taught master classes in several locations around the world, including London, Salzburg, Vienna, Switzerland, and the International Lionel Tertris Competition and Workshop at the Isle of Mann, among others. He also served as a faculty member at several institutions, including the California Institute of the Arts, the Westwood Music Center, and the University of California at Long Beach.
