Massenet, Jules
Massenet, Jules was a French composer. His operas, which were very common in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, are his most well-known works. Massenet was a master at unveiling a story and the identities of characters on stage through the ensemble and vocalists, much to the joy of the crowd. He was able to convey a little of his insight into the development of character and spiritual growth by music education because the music he wrote rendered the story and characters more realistic. For the most part, Massenet's works vanished into obscurity, but revivals have occurred since the 1980s.
