Nyman, Michael
Michael Nyman studied piano, harpsichord, and music history at the Royal Academy of Music with Alan Bush and musicology at King's College, London, with Thurston Dart. He served as a music reviewer between 1968 and 1978, and in 1977 he formed the Campiello Band, which was later called the Michael Nyman Band. Many of his film scores were produced for Peter Greenaway's films. He has also published a variety of operas, dance music, and chamber and concert works.
