Matthew Hoey is a composer, arranger, cellist, and music teacher based in Brisbane. He obtained a Bachelor of Music from the Queensland Conservatorium at Griffith University in 1990 and a Graduate Diploma in Performance in 1991. He works as a strings teacher with Education Queensland at multiple schools. Matthew has performed with esteemed orchestras and ensembles in Australia, including the Brisbane Symphony Orchestra, the Queensland Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Queensland Symphony Orchestra. Additionally, he serves as the principal cellist with the Brisbane Symphony Orchestra and has had his compositions performed by various ensembles.
