Larsen Solo A & D and Spirocore Tungsten G & C Cello 4/4 Size Set

Spirocore strings, widely recognized as “the reference standard”, are renowned for their distinctive tone and playability. Spirocore strings have a flexible multi-wire spiral rope core. They offer a more extended period of musical vibration and significantly reduce inertia. Spirocore strings are equally effective when playing arco or pizzicato. They are highly responsive and long-lasting.

The prized range of Larsen standard cello strings is completed by a SOLOIST’S EDITION, developed for the demanding soloist player. Compared to the regular Larsen Cello strings, these strings offer increased projection, focus, and volume, especially at the higher harmonics. 

The SOLOIST’S EDITION includes A, D, and G strings, offered in three tensions, soft, medium, and strong. The tension gauges are somewhat above the corresponding regular Larsen Cello strings. 

Before Larsen introduced their 'Magnacore' range, Spirocore Tungsten was used for the G and C strings, alongside Larsen A and D, to create a big-sounding lower end with a more refined sound for the higher strings.
