Gustave Bernardel, the famous French violin maker, invented his own rosin recipe at the beginning of the 20th century. This secret was then passed on to the Francais family. Jean and Jacques Francais, well know luthiers in Paris and New York) offered Corelli Savarez the opportunity to continue the tradition.
