History
Gustave Bernardel, the famous French violin maker, invented his own rosin recipe at the beginning of the 20th century. This secret was then passed on to the Francais family. Jean and Jacques Francais, well know luthiers in Paris and New York) offered Corelli Savarez the opportunity to continue the tradition. They continue to use the same raw materials and manufacturing process to respect the authenticity and exceptional quality of the rosin. It is still handmade unit by unit. It is made from the highest quality resin from selected pine trees using the "galipot" (the first sap of the tree). The components of the recipe are very strictly controlled.
