This Mulko-style plastic chinrest fits 4/4 and 3/4 size violins with standard brackets. It has a textured crisscross plate, giving it some good grip, and is made of high-density Bakelite plastic. This chinrest sits to the left of the tailpiece and can be screwed on using a chinrest tool (see recommended products).
To install:
Loosen up the brackets and rest the chinrest to the left of the tailpiece, as seen in the product picture.
Following this, insert the tip of the chinrest tool into one of the little holes on the bracket, and turn to tighten.
The Berber chin rest by Gewa is one of our most popular chin rests. It's a centre-mounted chin rest with a scooped side wing to allow the chin to move to the tailpiece's side.
This Teka Chin Rest is - according to our experience - the most comfortable chin rest for most violin and viola players. This version is made of genuine ebony timber and is hand carved.
