The 'Deluxe' Cello case is a very luxurious, expensive-looking, durable case with a heavy-duty zip. It gives good protection. There are two sizes: 4/4 and 1/2, and each of these sizes comes with two optional foam blocks to reduce the size to fit the next smaller size. This makes it a more economical, fine case. The primary material is probably still polystyrene but it doesn't look like it. The outer shell is padded with some foam, so the feel is soft; should the case fall over, it could absorb some of the impact because of the outer padding.
