NS Design NXTa 4 String Cello. THE NXTa ACTIVE SERIES CELLO, available with 4 or 5 strings, fretless or fretted, opens up new vistas for the serious cellist. FEATURES The tone quality and dynamic range of the NXTa cello owe much to the self-powered NS Polar™ Pickup System. 

A convenient switch on the side of the NXTa allows the player to select sensitivity for either mode.

• Dual Mode Output – For improved convenience, versatility and performance capability

• Active Mode – for plugging the instrument straight into any low or high-impedance device; no direct box is necessary.

• Passive Mode – for plugging the instrument using a direct box or an amplifier with high-impedance input. (This mode provides performance capabilities identical to the original NXT.)
