The Capriccio Violin is handmade from selected spruce timber for the instrument's top and slightly flamed maple for the back and sides. It is fitted with genuine ebony fingerboard and pegs. Traditionally hand-varnished timbers and fine workmanship with a wonderfully attractive and warm sound. The strings have been upgraded to our Maestro strings. It comes with a case, a good bow and rosin.
What the Arco and Capriccio have in common:
Both Arco and Capriccio are hand-carved, have ebony fittings and are set up by our in-house luthiers.
What's different:
The Capriccio is hand-varnished, whereas the varnish of the Arco is sprayed onto the hand-carved instrument. Hand-varnishing takes weeks, whereas the spraying is done quickly.
The Capriccio is fitted with upgraded strings, the "Maestro Strings". The colour of the varnish of the Capriccio is hand-brushed with golden to medium-brown shades and with an attractive shine to the varnish, whereas the varnish of the Arco is darker.
