The first books in this quartet series focused on Baroque, Classical, and Romantic styles. It has now expanded to cover music ranging from traditional pieces through to Eastern—influenced works. Each book contains arrangements of well-known themes, many of which have not hitherto been arranged for string quartet. All of the books are ideal for performance by intermediate level students. High schoolers will find much to enjoy in this latest addition to this attractive series, apart from learning the fine art of quartet—playing before venturing to loftier repertoire. These arrangements allow all four players a slice of the cake, with equal prominence given to each instrument.
