Brahms, Quintet No. 1 In F Maj Op.88 (Kalmus)

The String Quintet No. 1 in B flat major, K. 174, was written by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart in December 1773. Unlike Mozart's other viola quintets which are scored for two violins, two violas and cello- this early work is scored for two violins, two violas and basso. 

Enjoy two rare essential chamber works by the composer of 'Ein Deutsches Requiem'. The first is heroic and rigorous, while the second is a warm and luxurious dialogue between woodwinds and strings, ending with an intimate exchange between clarinet and cello.
