Strings
Strings are, of course, very important for string instruments. There is a wide variety of quality among strings. Student strings are typically made of chrome and steel for violins and violas. For advanced violin and viola players, the core of strings is typically made of synthetic materials. However, the e-string for violins is usually made out of plain steel. Sometimes, E strings are wound. The strings are usually chrome steel, silver, or tungsten for cello and bass players.
