Published in 1880, this heart-warming book explains the technics of violin playing as taught by Joseph Joachim, one of the most prominent violinists (1831-1907).

Some of the technics of playing the violin have changed since then. Therefore, when reading this lovely book, we should treat it as a screenshot of perhaps the best teaching that was available 100 years ago.
