Obligato Orchestral Bass A String

The Obligato Orchestral Double Bass A String by Pirastro features a modern synthetic multifilament fibre core wound with chrome steel, providing a bright, brilliant, and focused sound with a very quick response. Designed as part of the Obligato orchestral range, the A string combines clarity with a flexible and responsive playing feel, supporting smooth transitions between the upper and lower registers of the double bass. It performs effectively with both arco and pizzicato techniques and is designed to integrate evenly with the other strings in the Obligato set. The synthetic core is also highly resistant to temperature and humidity changes, helping provide consistent performance in varying playing environments.
