Obligato Orchestral Bass G String
The Obligato Orchestral Double Bass G String by Pirastro features a modern synthetic multifilament fibre core wound with chrome steel, providing a bright, brilliant, and focused sound with a very quick response. As the upper string of the standard Obligato orchestral set, the G string offers clear articulation and definition while retaining a balanced tonal relationship with the lower strings. Its responsive character makes it suitable for both arco and pizzicato, allowing clean bow articulation and a clear pizzicato attack. The synthetic-core construction resists changes in temperature and humidity, helping maintain consistent response and playing characteristics across different performance environments.
