The Obligato Orchestral Double Bass D String by Pirastro features a modern synthetic multifilament fibre core wound with chrome steel, producing a bright, brilliant, and focused sound with a very quick response. Designed as part of the Obligato orchestral range, the D string offers clear articulation and a responsive playing feel in both arco and pizzicato. Its balanced tone blends smoothly with the other strings in the Obligato set while maintaining clarity and definition in the middle register. The synthetic-core construction is also highly resistant to temperature and humidity changes, supporting consistent performance under varying environmental conditions.
