4/4 Size Tonica Violin string set

Tonica strings have a nylon core. They produce a lively, well-rounded sound perfectly balanced across all four strings. They respond instantly to any bowing style and reward the player and listener with an open and direct sound.

The strings have substantially reduced background 'hiss', allowing players to sustain a more even tone, which helps to achieve smoother string crossings. While offering positive feedback to your left hand, Tonica strings remain easy to play up to the highest positions. Projection and brilliance have been upgraded.

However, these improvements do not mean the Tonica has lost its warmth. Playing pianissimo has considerably improved. All bow strokes are possible, resulting in smooth crossings from one note to another and easy right-hand articulation and tone attack. Due to their medium string tension, Tonica strings are suitable for all instruments.
