This violin is a replica of Antonio Stradivarius's famous instrument, the Strad CX Special Edition Violin 2012, made for Animato Strings Australia. Antonio Stradivari, an Italian violin maker born in 1644, is known for his valuable violins. Animato Strings offers a wide range of new and antique instruments, including Asian-handcrafted and European instruments and violins, violas, cellos, and double basses from various countries. Their on-site workshop is staffed with experts who restore, service, and set up instruments.

This Maestro Stradivarius Violin Replica from Cremona was sourced by Animato Strings in 2016. Animato Strings has been around for nearly 30 years, carrying Asian-handcrafted instruments, and new European instruments as well as antique violins, violas, cellos, and double basses.

Paul Beuscher began as a luthier who opened the Paul Beuscher Music Shop in 1850 in Paris at 27-29 Boulevard Beaumarchais. The string instruments bearing the label Paul Beuscher came most likely from Mirecourt, the centre of French violin making. They were bought there and sold in Paul Beuscher Music Shop in Paris bearing Paul Beuscher’s name.

This is a French JTL Medio Fino Violin made in Mirecourt, France. JTL stands for Jérôme Thibouville-Lamy & Cie a musical instrument making company in France formed by Louis Emile Jérôme Thibouville and Marguerite Hyacinthe Lamy at around 1900’s.

French violin c. 1900 Features:

• Medium dark reddish brown varnish

• Yellow and black striped purfling both at the front and back

• A unique and remarkable drawing symbol at the upper center part of the back

This is a French Trade Violin Instrument bearing the label of Andreas Borelli dated 1720.  Andreas Borelli an Italian-born violin maker whose style developed the Borelli School of Violin Making which was later adopted by the workshops in Mirecourt France.
