Nelson, Sheila

Sheila Mary Nelson (5 March 1936 – 16 November 2020) was an English musician, music educator, and composer. She was well-known as a violin and viola teacher and played with orchestras such as the English Chamber Orchestra and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. Nelson studied at the Royal College of Music and co-authored the Essential String Method series. She passed away at the age of 84 on 16 November 2020 after living with Alzheimer's disease in her final years.
