Protos Violin Strings
Lenzner Protos are steel strings wound with fine nickel flat wire for violin, viola, cello and doublebass. These strings are ideally suited for both students and professional musicians. These strings do not sound at all hard or "metallic", owing to their special construction they produce a brilliant and soft sound.
If tuned correctly within the set, these strings have approximately the same string tension, which is no greater than that of gut or nylon core strings. There is therefore absolutly no need to worry that instruments strung with PROTOS strings are subject to excessive strain or that the instruments might be damaged.
