The VioTech Suregrip bow cushion is the ultimate solution to enhance your bow's comfort, reducing the wear and tear on both the instrument and the player.
The cushions are made from non-allergenic neoprene foam, which makes them lightweight and easy to handle. We offer a wide range of options for both violin/viola and cello players, with each cushion featuring a sleek and solid black.
Each tube contains two cushions that are the same size. The cushions are available in sizes for violin/viola and a slightly larger size for cello.
VioTech Suregrip bows cushion Instructions for use:
To extend the lifespan of your cushion, it's recommended to rotate and flip it regularly. Additionally, positioning it away from the frog will prevent hair stretching and ensure the stick remains secure.
- Remove the bow frog and apply a minuscule amount of silicon grease, washing-up liquid or petroleum jelly lubricant (such as Vaseline) inside one end of the cushion.
- Push the cushion onto the bow stick, and ease gently up towards the leather grip. The thin leading edge tends to tuck under, so ease the lip over the existing grip by flicking it up carefully with your fingernail.
- Continue to ease and push onto the grip. The cushion tends to compress a little. Once the cushion is on, ease it back the other way to achieve full length, then ease into the correct position.
- Replace the frog, carefully aligning the screw correctly.
