Animato Strings, owned and directed by Dietrich Lasa, has been providing students with quality sound for nearly 30 years. It was originally named 'Strings Attached' in 1993 but changed to 'Animato' in 1996.
Animato Strings has a wide range of new and vintage instruments, priced from under $200 to $100k. Animato Strings offers Asian and European instruments, including antique violins, violas, cellos, and double basses from France, Germany, England, Italy, Australia, the U.S., and other countries. Their onsite workshop is blessed with experts who restore, service, and set up instruments.
Gliga Vasile Advanced Cello. Handcrafted in the Romanian workshops of Vasile Gliga with sycamore maple. Some special attention has been given to the deeply etched and well-highlighted scroll. A more significant number of coats of varnish are applied.
Jay Haide makes high-quality cellos from seasoned maple and spruce.
