Gliga's original student outfit features a fine cello finished in hand-applied traditional oil varnish. Its quality materials, fittings, and components give learners every opportunity to succeed. The outfit includes a choice of strings, a deluxe padded bag, and an FPS Brazilwood horsehair bow.

The high-quality timber and traditional oil finish create an outstanding student outfit that improves and matures over time. The standard Gliga III cello is finished with hand-applied traditional oil varnish rather than being sprayed. The oil varnish is softer and more flexible, allowing the timber to "breathe" and age. As the cello is played, the tone deepens and becomes richer as the sound "opens up." This attractive antique colour offers a lighter alternative to the classic Gliga Dark Antique finish.

Like all Gliga instruments, all fittings are of the highest quality. The solid ebony fingerboard and pegs are carefully shaped and fitted to the instrument. A Wittner Ultralight tailpiece is securely attached to a sturdy ebony endpin with an adjustable spike, and an aged maple bridge is included with the cello.

Upon arriving in Australia, each cello undergoes an inspection before being assembled into outfits in our warehouse. When ordering, you can choose between Jargar Classic strings or a custom set of Opal A & D strings paired with Charm G & C strings. The outfit is completed with an FPS Professional padded bag and the FPS Brazilwood horsehair bow.
