Flesch, Scale System for Cello

The Scale System for Violoncello by Carl Flesch is a collection of scale exercises for daily cello practice. It includes exercises in all major and minor keys and is arranged by Wolfgang Boettcher. Despite being almost a century old, it is still widely used by advanced violinists, violists, cellists, and bassists.

This edition by Carl Fischer is transcribed for cello and is based on Max Rostal's expansion and revision of the original violin version. As the title suggests, it covers scales and arpeggios in all major and minor keys and various rhythmic patterns for a comprehensive practice.
