Holland, Master Your Theory Associate Diploma
Master Your Theory is a series of books that serve both as instruction manuals and workbooks. The books are designed to provide a comprehensive course in music theory, starting from the basic principles and gradually advancing through the grades.
The student is encouraged to work out the exercises that follow each point made in the books. This way, the student can consolidate their knowledge and revise the facts they have learned. The course is equally helpful for examination students, regardless of whether they are taking the AMEB exam or any other, and for those who want to enhance their skills as musicians by studying how music is written and organized.
These books also greatly help busy teachers who understand the importance of theory in music education but need practical lessons to include time for theory instruction. The student can work through the books independently, reading the explanations, completing the exercises, and consulting with the teacher whenever necessary.
