Beriot, Violin Concerto Op. 76 No. 7 in G (Peters)
for violin and orchestra- piano reduction
Edited by Friedrich Hermann
De Bériot composed a great deal of violin music which includes ten concertos. These are now rarely heard, however his pedagogical violin compositions are still of use for students.De Bériot's violin technique was pioneering, and the Romantic style of composition mean that his concertos and etudes are an important stepping stone for the serious violin student aiming to gain a strong foundation prior to studying the major concertos of the Romantic era. Along with No. 9 in A minor Op. 104, his No. 7 violin concerto in G major Op. 76 is one of his most popular.
