Larsen Il Cannone Cello C String

The Direct & Focused C string produces a unique sound not previously heard from a Larsen C string. On the other hand, the Warm & Broad C string resembles the medium of the Magnacore C string, offering a warmer and broader tone with a new core foundation.

The Il Cannone C and Magnacore C strings differ primarily in the quality of their core sound. The Il Cannone C strings are known for their distinct, defined, and enduring core sound, which results in a more focused overall sound. This distinction holds for both variants of the Il Cannone C strings.

The Magnacore C strong is a standout member of the Magnacore family, featuring a broader and less centred core basis compared to Il Cannone. Despite this distinction, renowned artists like Gautier Capuçon and Daniel Müller-Schott continue to favour the Magnacore strong. Il Cannone is a recent and adaptable addition to our lineup, offering versatility rather than being positioned as a superior replacement. Ultimately, the choice between the two is a matter of personal preference.

Due to its low tension, the Magnacore C Arioso offers the easiest playability in pianissimo in the Magnacore family. Despite the medium tension, the Il Cannone C strings come close to this level.
