Stocks, Michael J

Michael Stocks started playing the violin at age five and later became a member of the Australian Youth Orchestra. He performed in the world premiere concert version of Les Miserables and released his solo violin CD, "That Was Then… This is Now…" in 1996. In 2003, he collaborated on "A Touch of Tasmania," featuring vocals and violin. Michael has authored over 70 books on music education and currently teaches violin, viola, double bass, and music theory in Launceston. He holds a prominent position in the local music scene as the concertmaster of the Launceston Philharmonic Orchestra.
