The Grand Royale For String Orchestra By Michael Patterson (Gr4-6)

Michael Patterson’s “The Grand Royale” is a stunning modern classical string ensemble composition. The piece was crafted in 2009 and showcases an intricate interplay between the violin I, II, and III, viola, cello, and double bass. The composition is moderately difficult, making it ideal for grades 4-6 students. With a runtime of five minutes, it is a mesmerizing and captivating piece demonstrating classical music’s beauty and depth.

Michael is a highly skilled musician based in Brisbane with a strong passion for string music. He is a talented performer, conductor, teacher and composer, and holds various qualifications such as Bmus, Amus, Lmus, MPhil (music), and a Diploma of Teaching and Learning. Michael has gained a vast and diverse range of musical experiences throughout his career.
