    Amati Mangenot was a French luthier who learned his craft from his father Paul Alexandre Mangenot. After learning from his father he joined the brothers Albert Laurent in Brussels and Emile Laurent in Bordeaux. Mangenot settled in his own workshop for a short time in Clermont Ferrand then in 1925 he took over the workshop of Emile Laurent in Bordeaux.
