Johann Baptist Schweitzer (1790 – 1865) is considered one of the finest violin makers in Vienna. He was under the tutelage of Franz Geissenhof and started violin making in the year 1912. He moved to Budapest in 1825 teaching various violin makers such as Gabriel Lemböck. He remained in Budapest for the rest of his life
