This violin was made by Louis Fricot violin, in Poussay, France dated 1930. Louis Fricot is a French luthier who received a silver medal in the 1900 Universal Exhibition in Paris and was appointed in 1912 as the Technical Director in the Thibouville Lamy workshop.
Louis Fricot (1863 - 1946) was born in Poussay, a village in Mirecourt district in France on August 19, 1863. Louise was said to be an apprentice in Jérôme Thibouville Lamy’s workshop his father Ghilbert-Jean Fricot was employed.
He received a silver medal in the 1900 Universal Exhibition in Paris while he was employed in the Thibouville Lamy workshop. He was appointed as a Technical Director in 1912.
