This is a German copy of the Stradivarius violin made in the Mid-20th Century. Antonio Stradivari is a renowned Italian violin maker who was said to have brought the craft of violin-making into its highest pitch of perfection and became the world’s most expensive violins.

This is a German-French Style Violin. This is one of many of Animato Strings' largest selections of new and old stringed instruments in Australia, including Asian-hand-made, European, U.S., Australian, and Antique stringed instruments. Added to the list are the original Animato String brands.

A fine example of the Caspar da Salo Violin, made by C.F. Schuster & Sohn around 1900, as indicated on its label. This violin is known for its distinctive purfling design. Gasparo da Salò, also known as Gaspar Bertolotti, was one of the earliest luthiers and an expert double bass player, with around 80 surviving instruments.

Ryszard Osowski is a Polish luthier who was able to gradually perfect the sound and quality of his instruments, concentrating more on building his own stringed instrument, passionately rearing towards crafting highly advanced violins.

This is the Konrad Kohlert Violin. Konrad Kohlert's violins, violas and cellos have been produced in his workshop since 1987, and are valued worldwide for their sound and craftsmanship.

In the 1910s, Arthur Edward Smith (1880-1978) established a store in Sydney upon his return to Australia. Smith's workshop on Hunter Street quickly gained a reputation for repairing and selling high-quality stringed instruments. This violin was sold (not made by) AE Smith, Australia's most famous violin maker. 

This Violin is made in Germany for Knilling (USA) prob. Bubenreuth in about 1970. Knilling Violins c/o was named after Johannes Knilling (1795 -1842), a famous German luthier in the 17th century.
